No Time To Sit

Today Jeffrey and I spent the day out and about searching for records from our Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation. I called my former church 1 1/2 weeks ago and expected a phone call, which I never received, so I called again today and I get there to pick it up...they spelled my name wrong PLUS they wrote the wrong Baptismal date. ARGH! Then with Jeffrey's, we went to his church and they told him that his paperwork would be ready after noon...We get there at 12:10 and well, let's just say she hadn't even started it! ARGH ARGH! You would think that these churches would work much more efficiently than they are handling themselves, geez...that's why I've got a new parish after 23 years of being a member of the same church we finally moved to a new church that we are completely content with! YEAH! Well, anyway, so as I was saying the next disapointment had to do with the priest that will be marrying Jeffrey and myself. I had previously spoken to him before so that Jeff and I could call him during his Christmas vacation so that we could setup an appointment to meet with him and get the ball rolling on the Marriage Ceremony. So anyway, I told Jeffrey, "let's just call him, we should call him first and setup the appointment." But rather than listen to me he says, no I just wanna setup the appointment at the church, so let's just go there. So I gave in, we get there and the secretary says, "Oh, well, you would need to call to setup an appointment. I would send you to him but he's got a client with him at the moment, so you'll just need to call us back." ARGH ARGH ARGH! I TOLD HIM! But noooooooo...he never listens to me. So anyway, we called the priest, left him a message, a few hours we get a callback from him, tells us he'll call us right back...12:00AM and we never received a phone call. =( So hopefully he'll get back with us tomorrow, otherwise we'll just have to call him again tomorrow. Then we've gotta go back to our parish's tomorrow and pickup our certificates. ARGH ARGH ARGH ARGH!! Now, I get to rest...

Rolls Eyes

Oh brother, so I found out that Jeff's ex is just talking crap once again about Jeff and myself but you know, I'm the bigger person (mentally, cause she's the fat one. LOL...) here and I plan to stay away from the drama that she caused in my life. She claimed a long time ago that she would do everything in her power to keep him from marrying me, but guess what? It's not happening! She did do plenty to make me question our relationship but within these past 2 years, he's done nothing but proven to me that he's in it for the long-haul with me. You know I honestly really don't know why after 2 years of not hearing a word of drama why all of a sudden would this suddenly pop up? She doesn't realize I have eyes and ears all over the place and that I do find out about whatever she says. But that's okay because whatever she doesn't know won't hurt her, rather, it'll merely benefit me! =P Well, all I think about this is just that she needs to get back on those depression medications and counseling treatments so that she can just move on. They've been broken up for 5-6 years and she's STILL thinking about it? I guess those mental problems Jeff told me she had really was true...

Merry Christmas!

So I had a WONDERFUL Christmas! Yeah! I got everything I wanted plus my fiance is home and we got sponsors for our cakes, DJ, and Mariachi's plus additional hundreds of dollars for whatever else we need. I love my family! =P So anyway, just thought I'd post that up just for the heck of it and I just hope everyone else's Christmas was SPLENDID!
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Christmas Eve

I'm incredibly excited because today I get to see my fiance! I haven't seen him in about a month because he's a military firefighter stationed at Ft. Polk, Louisiana. So his visits are few and far between. ='( But he's on his way as I'm typing this and I am SOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!! I can't wait to spend time with him this Christmas and open presents with each other! =D

Surprise First Dance!

Has anyone ever heard of these? The dances that sometimes start off as slow dances between the bride and groom, then suddenly turn out to an ensemble of a variety of different clips of music from Disco to Hip Hop. Jeffrey just sent me a link to a few of those kinds of dances and I think they're ADORABLE! Jeff and I are DEFINATELY a fun couple, we're not an ordinary couple by any means, so I think that a dance like this is something that our friends and family would definately enjoy. You'll be able to see our humor in alot of what we do in our wedding and just our ordinary day in and day out. That's just how we are! We like to laugh and we love to make others do the same!

These are my top three favorite videos I've seen:

So has anyone else ever heard of them before? Have you seen them in person? Are you planning on doing this at your wedding, or have you done this already? Where should I look to help with the choreography of this, or mixing of the music? Do you even think this is a cute idea? WHAT DO YOU LADIES THINK??

Check 5!

So, I'm incredibly excited as today we went ahead and signed with our photographer! He does absolutely amazing work and he gave us quite a bargain for everything included in our package! So, needless to say, I'M ECSTATIC!!
So let's see what I've got so far...
1. Church and Priest...CHECK
2. Reception Venue...CHECK
3. Wedding Gown and Fixings...CHECK
4. Bridal & Groom Cake...CHECK
5. Photographer...CHECK
6. Caterer...Still Searching
7. Florist...Still Searching

So that leaves us with three biggies to go...not bad. Those are just the REALLY major things that need to get done and have gotten done. Of course there are plenty of little things that need to be picked out too. *SIGHS* I know it'll all be worth it in the end though! =D
Oh, so I've also been looking at some centerpieces and here's kind of what I've been looking at for them. What do you think? Any suggestions?

Photographer.

So I think I may have found our photographer for our wedding. His deal was just too amazing to pass up. Over the past 3 weeks I have contacted over 50 photographers in San Antonio...yes, I said FIFTY! But I kept coming back to the same one over and over again...RENE GARCIA PHOTOGRAPHY.

So anyway, we met with him once before and his photos are lovely, his package price was $695 for Unlimited Hours, Unlimited Images, 1 CD with all Reprint Rights, 1 16x20 Bridal Portrait with Session, & 1 11x14 Engagement Portrait with Session. This was by far the best price that I could find with everything included in it, however, the downside of this package was that he required that the ENTIRE amount be paid at the time of contract. So, we ended up saying ADIOS! =(

But a few days ago he emailed me again with his new specials...

$495 Photography: Unlimited Hours, Unlimited Images, 1 CD with all Reprint Rights

$595 Photography: Unlimited Hours, Unlimited Images, 1 CD with all Reprint Rights, 1 16x20 Bridal Portrait with Session, & 1 11x14 Engagement Portrait with Session

You SERIOUSLY CAN NOT find a better price and package ANYWHERE in San Antonio, believe me, I've tried to find them, it just ain't happening! The best part about it is that he is letting us pay half for the deposit and then the remainder is due 30 days prior to the wedding. So that is MUUUUUUCH more feasible! So anyway, now we've got another appointment to meet with him and sign the contract this weekend! YEAH! SO EXCITING!

CLICK HERE if you'd like to see his webpage and all of his pretty pictures and portfolio! =D

Christmas Card

So I decided to make Christmas Cards instead. LOL. I've actually never made cards before, I'm more of a scrapbook and tagmaking kinda' girl, but here's what I've got done so far.

I made a little wreath from an assortment of buttons, then the bow from a ribbon, I hand made and cut out and colored the leaves. The flowers are pima flowers and in the center of the flowers are little bells that I have hand-sewn on. So they jingleeee...hehehe. Not bad for my first card...Cute right? LOL... It's NOT finished AT ALL...but I'm still working on it! =D

From The Beginning...

Well, this is the first blog I'm writing on here. I used to have a blog on livejournal.com, but well, I don't use that anymore and I'm not really sure why. I just don't! So, where to begin on here? I'm not quite sure, I suppose the here and now would be the best place to start. Well, at the moment I'm excited and busy planning my '09 wedding. I'll be getting married to Jeffrey November 14, 2009 and I couldn't be any happier. It was an incredibly difficult first couple of years when we first met cause of his psycho ex, but well, I suppose we all have psycho's in our past! Lord knows I've got a few too! But we've gotten through everything and we've been able to look past all of our differences and the mistakes we've both made and have found true love and happiness. We can't wait to finally be living together. Heck, I can't wait to move to Louisiana with him and then from there...wherever our lives take us. We've already been through so much and continue to grow stronger and stronger in our relationship.
As of now, I'm on Christmas Break from school, so I'm hard at work at finding who to hire for our wedding. We've got a few details up and ready. We've got our wedding album, guestbook, bridal cake and grooms cake, reception place and church and priest. So right now I'm working on the florist, catering, DJ, and photographer. I've been able to find an awesome photographer at a GREAT price so I'm ready to put down the deposit on Monday! WooHooooo! How exciting!
So anyway, I'll post the next blog in a bit to help me look at different center pieces to see exactly what looks best and to help me decide what I'm going to use for our wedding...YEAH!
